Also at the first final day of this third World Cup of the season in Thessaloniki the favourites were the best. So Jordan Jovtchev from Bulgaria won the floor final, Marius Urzica was unbeaten again on pommel horse and the strong Greece Dimosthenis Tambakos was the best in his hometown on rings.

Raouf Abdel KARIM from Kairo is the first African gymnast in history who has obtained a World Cup victory in gymnastics. After the first day (qualification) of the world cup in Thessalonoki (Greece the favourites are leading on the apparatusses: Jordan Jovtchev (floor, Rings), Marius Urzica (Pommel horse), Dmitri Kasperovich (vault), Mitja Petkovsek (parallel bar) und Aljaz Pegan (high bar).

The Greece superstar and Olympic floor champion of Atlanta 1996, Ioannis Melissanidis will start at the 4th World Cup of the 2003 circuit in his hometown Thessaloniki/Greece coming weekend to the first time after a break of 1 1/2 year.
