FIG Congress: President Grandi confirmed in Office

At the 75th General Assembly (Congress) of FIG in Antalya, the Italian Bruno Grandi has been confirmed in office as President from 86 of the 96 nations.
In the first ballot, both the French Dr. Michel Leglise as well as the Japanese Koji Takizawa were elected as Vice-Presidents by the delegate; in the second ballot the Canadian Slava Corn was also elected.
Romania's Gymnastics President Vieru has not been re-elected, the Swiss Ivan Weber had already canceled his candidacy before the elections took place...

He said that he wants 'to go all the way with competent men and women who have a great sense of integrity. The ones who made mistakes will be sanctioned. The FIG and the gymnasts cannot tolerate the injustice and bad reputation on our sport. The sport cannot exist without integrity and equity.'
