USAG annonced Colarossi s resignation

USA Gymnastics President and Chief Executive Officer Bob Colarossi announced, that he will be leaving his post at USA Gymnastics at the end of March to accept a position with Los Angeles-based sports and entertainment presenters AEG. Colarossi's decision brings to a close one of the most successful presidential tenures in USA Gymnastics history, so the US Gymnastics Fedration published this week. Colarossi, who took over the helm of USA Gymnastics in 1998, led USA Gymnastics to what many believe has been the greatest quadrennium in the organization's history....
Colarossi (45), has accepted the position of Managing Director of several new properties being developed by AEG that will be announced over the next few months. “I am very excited to join AEG, one of the most exciting, proactive and growing organizations in sports and entertainment.”
Colarossi's contract with USA Gymnastics was extended on Nov. 20, 2004 at the Board of Directors meeting in Houston , and he will fulfill the duties of President/CEO through the end of March.
Colarossi's gymnastics background dates more than 30 years as a competitive gymnast, coach, gym owner and committee member. He was hired by USA Gymnastics in the summer of 1998 after serving as President of the Massachusetts Sports Partnership.
