46th WOMEN's Euopean Championships 2025

Hall I of the Leipzig Exhibition Centre will host the competitions of the 2025 European Gymnastics Championships as part of the "International German Gymnastics Festival", for which a total of 136 female and 165 male gymnasts from 37 nations have registered.

 Karina Schoenmaier from Chemnitz (GER) on the last apparatus (vault) and Stuttgart's teammate Helen Kevric with the best uneven bars routine of the competition (14.766) ultimately provided the decisive scores for a German team that fought hard overall and won silver for the first time after bronze in 2022 (Munich) - the second team medal ever at a European Championships.
ITALY's defending all-around champion Manila ESPOSITO once again achieved the highest score with 54.399, followed by Ana Barbosu (ROU; 53.933) and Helen Kevric (GER; 53.932), who finished a strong third despite knee problems and mistakes on beam and floor. Karina Schoenmaier's 8th all-around place is also worthy of honour, as she also made it to the floor final. European vice-champion Alice D'Amato, on the other hand, had a bad day and only managed 28th place on her favourite apparatus, parallel bars, after a rough fall ...
Overall, the competitions of the still young Olympic generation were still characterised by a lot of instability and the search for new mastered content.
