Even in the post-Olympic year 2025, the four FIG World Challenge Cups in the second half of the year hardly differ from the World Cup series in the spring. As in the Olympic year, five Challenge Cups will now follow in this order in this World Cup year, all before the World Championships in Jakarta/INA:
(1) WCha Varna (BUL; 8-11 May 2025); (2) WCha Koper (May 15-18), (3) WCha Tashkent (UZB; June 18-21); (4) WCha -Paris (FRA; 13/14 September); (5) WCha - Szombathely (HUN; 26-28 Sept. 2025) - all with the special significance of immediate preparation for the highlight of the year, the World Championships in Indonesia in October.

* FINAL DAY I: - A day after celebrating her 50th birthday, Uzbekistan gymnastics legend Oksana Chusovitina completed her 2025 World Cup series medal collection, taking a silver Friday (20 June) at her home World Challenge Cup in Tashkent. Previously this season, she struck gold at the Baku World Cup and claimed a bronze at the Cottbus World Cup. Bulgaria’s Valentina Georgieva earned a 13.450 final average to push past the legend in Friday’s final. Chusovitina, who used a full-twisting Tsukahara and a front handspring layout half vault, scored 13.275 for second with compatriot Shakhinabonu Yusufova in third (12.950).
In the women’s uneven bars final, Paris 2024 Olympic champion Kaylia Nemour of Algeria earned a massive 14.700 to easily take the title, more than two points clear of Naveen Daries of South Africa and Croatia’s Sofia Mester, who both earned 12.500 scores. After the tie break, Daries was the silver medallist with Mester walking away with bronze.
The men’s competition saw more hometown heroes excel as Uzbekistan went one–two in the men’s floor final with Abdulaziz Mirvaliev (13.900) and Khumoyun Islomov (13.700). Bronze went to Armenia’s Armen Petrosyan, who posted a 13.650.
