On Saturday five gymnasts from Berlin - among of them the high bar Olympic champion of Atlanta, Andreas Wecker and the former German all-around master Peter Nikiferow celebrated a noisy handstand on a special steel construction on the biggest aldest German castle from the 12th century.
The German company PANHOLZ from Sulzfeld, near Heilbronn built this construction, to carry a roof for saving the 6 meters thick wall.

In Hoofddorp took place the Dutch Ntional Championships of men's artistic Gymnastics.
Herre Zonderland won the all-around title with a score of 50,85 points and also the titles on four apparatusse.
The highest score noticed the junior Jeffrey Wammes: He scored 53,05, and is the new Dutch junior champion. On second place in the junior category came Epke Zonderland (52,10)....

Olympic medallist Leszek Blanik has won the first men’s all-around at the “St.A.Kolakowskich Memorial“ which took place on May 30th/ June 1st.
On ranks 2 and 3 followed the two Russian competitors from St. Petersburg Anton Lobanov and Nikolai Goukov.
Their young club mate Alexandra Vanina (yr. 89) narrowly won the women’s all-around, which had already been held as international tournament in previous years.

Today was held a 5-way International and World Championships Trials in Men’s Gymnastics between the world champin of 2001 Belarus, France (4th place in Ghent), Switzerland, Germany, and host Great Britain. The location was the Robin Park Sports Centre, Wigan.
