German National Championships 2019

At the 86th German Championships for Men 2019 in Berlin Andreas TOBA (TK Hanover) won for the second time after 2016 thenational title in the all-around competition, With 83,100 points, he relegated the defending champion Marcel NGUYEN (TSV Unterhaching) to 2nd place (82,350). Third was a young gymnast from Berlin, the 19-year-old Karim RIDA won bronze with 81,600 points. * For the women, Sarah VOSS from Cologne was a surprise champion in the all-around competition of these 79th German Championships for Women. After the favorite Elisabeth SEITZ had to leave the balance beam 3 times involuntarily, she gets gold (54,250) ahead of veteran Kim BUI (52,550) and ahead of Sophie SCHEDER (52,500.
But on the final day, however, Elisabeth SEITZ managed a world-class exercise on the uneven bars. This gold medal was her 22nd German championship title. This is new historical record in Germany after 56 years. So far held this record Ingrid Lehmann-Foest since 1963 with 21 German championship titles.
