Patterson, Gatson Crowned Visa American Cup Champions

World all-around silver medalist Carly Patterson, and World all-around finalist Jason Gatson (both USA) earned all-around gold and $10,000 in prize money on Saturday by winning the all-around titles at the 2004 Visa American Cup at Madison Square Garden.
Patterson swept all four events, picking up an additional $1,000 per event, in earning her second consecutive Visa American Cup title. Patterson, bolstered by a 9.850 on beam and 9.837 on floor, finished with a 38.949.

Morgan Hamm won floor exercise and pommel horse, Jason Gatson won still rings, parallel bars, and tied Ryota Suzuki for first on high bar, and Marian Dragulescu won vault.
