The Romanian newspaper Evenimentul Zilei pronounced today, that the both star coaches of the women's team champion Romania, Octavian Belu and Mariana Bitang retired, yesterday and want to cancel their contracts with the Romanian Gymnastics Federation...but the Federation declined to accept any resignation from Belu and Bitang, who have an employment contract with the Romanian Olympic Committee through the 2004 Olympic Games...

The Hungarian Agn?s Keleti, four times Olympic champion at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki and 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne, received the Trophy of Merit from the Hungarian National Olympic Committee.

Keleti won all together eight Olympic medals and was also World Champion on uneven bars in Roma (Foro Italico) in 1954.

The German Champion on floor 2002 and German all-round champion 2000 Sergej Pfeifer had been operated last week on knee.
So the 25 years old gymnast from TK Hanover cannot start at the coming three world cup events in Paris, Coottbus and Thessaloniki.
The German chief coach Andreas Hirsch hopes, that Pfeifer will be fit again to the GermanWorld Champs qualifications in summer this year.
