Hambuechen - most successful gymnast!

The 16 years old German Fabian Hambuechen from Niedergirmes was the most successful gymnast of the European Junior Championships in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
After winning bronze in yesterday's all-around final Hambuechen won gold at floor, vault and high bar today.
Britisch Lois Smith is the new European Champion on pommel horse, and the Russians got gold at rings by Timofei Lazarev and parallel bars by Evgeni Vasiliev....

After the team gold medal on Friday Russia won also the all-around title in today's junior decision by Evgeni Vassiliv with a score of 55,174. Also silver went to the Russians, won by Dmitri Barkalov (54,823).
In spite of two mistakes on pommelhorse the 16 years old German Fabian Hambuechen made an phantastic competition and got the bronze medal however with a score of 54,273 points.
On 4th came the Dutch Epke Zonderland, followed by Filip Ude (CRO) and Dmitrios Markousis from Greece...

Romania defended European Titel
The Romanian men's team defended successfully the European team title on Friday at the 26th Euro Champs in Ljubljana.
Belarus won silver and France got the bronze medal.
Best in all-around was Marian Dragulescu, followed by Roman Zozulia (UKR) and Rafael Martinez (ESP)...

Russia - old and new Junior Champion
The junior team of Russia defended its team title from Patras 2002 successfully in team decision of juniors in Ljubljana with a score of 164,695 points.
After Bronze in 2002 now the German team won the silver medal with a score of 162,207, followed by the juniors of Ukraine on third (159,748).
Dmitri Barkalov (RUS) was the best in all-around (55,410), followed by the German Fabian Hambuechen (55,386), who was the best at four apparatuses...
