18th European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF)

The 18th edition of the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) takes place from 20 to 26 July in the North Macedonian capital Skopje. Since 1991, the European Olympic Committee (EOC) has been organising both the summer and winter editions for Europe's best young athletes in the same calendar year. Skopje is the main venue for ten of the 15 sports. Another venue is Kumanovo, 40 km away. Only the artistic gymnasts will be travelling much further: due to the requirements of the sports venue, they will have to travel 600 km to Osijek (Croatia) for their competitions, where the FIG World Challenge Cup was traditionally held in April. A total of approximately 4,000 athletes from 49 European nations are expected to participate.
