Five weeks only after winning the Olympic gold medal with their team in Athens the Romanian top gymnasts Oana BAN and Silvia STROESCU degleared their retirement from international top sport
The reasons are continuing injuries in the last years.

Olympic Champion Hamm would accept CAS decision

Will Hamm return his medal...?
Olympic all-around champion Paul Hamm had to appear in a hearing of the International Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) in Lausanne where he met again his Olympic competitor Yang, Tae Young. Four weeks after the Olympic Games in Athens ended the highest court for sports issues now takes care of the case of the US- gymnast. South Korea had informed the CAS on the mistake of the judges already during the Olympic Games.

Ukraine most successful at GWG Cup in Cottbus

The winner of the 19th International GWG Cup 2004 of European talents of artistic gymnastics (age group 10 - 14) was the Ukrainian Victor Stepanenko with a score of 52,30, followed by Rokas Guscinas (LTU; 51,225) and Daniel Keatings (GBR; 50,850).
Winner of the age group 15 - 18 years was Dennis Mannhart from Switzerland (Turnverband Zurich) with a score of 52,750 points.

South-East Asian Juniors: Mixed fortunes for Malaysian girls

The 6th South-East Asian Gymnastics Confederation (SEAGON) Junior Championships
was a huge success for the Malaysian girls- but also a huge disappointment, too...

While the rhythmic gymnasts swept the board, winning all six gold medals and four silvers and two bronzes as well, the artistic gymnasts were a huge failure and were obviously way behind their regional rivals....

PREVIEW: 19th International GWG Cup

The traditional 'International GWG Cup - one of the most important European tournament for young male gymnastics talents will held in Cottbus this weekend to the 19th time.
