* TODAY: Juniors all-around |
In the 63-year history of the European Women’s Gymnastics Championships (- since Bucharest in 1957), team medals are being awarded for the 19th time (since Stockholm in 1994). At this year’s 47th European Women’s Gymnastics Championships in Zagreb, Croatia, the Italian Squadra Azzurra is now aiming for a hat-trick following its first gold in Volos (2006), having been crowned champions again in Rimini / ITA (2024) and most recently in Leipzig / GER (2025), after their victory in Munich / GER (2022). Although Team Germany has won its only team medals to date over the last four years – bronze in Munich and silver in Leipzig (2025) – hopes of a medal are less realistic, as the Russian gymnasts are back in contention – albeit without the national symbolism – having won the team title five times in the new millennium, most recently in 2018...
