An important day in Albufeira (POR) today as the 50 member federations of European Gymnastics ("EG") got the opportunity to elect their choice of authorities that will guide European Gymnastics through the next 3 years, instead of 4 due to the postponement of this Congress after the covid-19 pandemic. 45 nations sent their representatives thus being allowed to cast their vote.

The 39th tournament for the Arthur Gander Cup in Chiasso, Switzerland, was won on 23 November by Alice D'AMATO from Italy ahead of Lena Bickel from Switzerland and Morgane Osyssek-Reimer from France.
In the men's competition (only 4 apparatus), Ilya KOVTUN from Ukraine won ahead of Yul MOLDAUER (USA) and Lorenzo Minh Casali from Italy.

The German youth gymnast Jukka NISSINEN (Eintracht Frankfurt) suffered a serious accident in a training accident at the Frankfurt performance centre at the beginning of September. Liverpool witnesses the 42nd  WOMEN's WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS of Artistic Gymnastics, which debuted in Budapest for the 10th Worlds in 1934.
