In Metz past weekend were held the French National Championships of artistic Gymnastics:
Olympians Marine Debauve and Yann Cucherat won the senior women's and men's all-around titles.
Debauve, who finished seventh all-around at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, scored 35.15 to place first.
Cucherat, who placed 16th all-around at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, took the men’s title (52.35) over Damien Millot (51.55).....

For the first time since the Olympic Games in Athens, USA Gymnastics flew their Women’s Team over to Europe, for Training camps and friendly Controls first in Britain and then in Switzerland.
On Saturday, April 2 the guests won a dual meet against Great Britain with a score of 152.700 : 144.480 points.
Nastasia Liukin was the best gymnast in all-around with 38.550 points, followed by Beth Tweddle (37.550) and by Jana Bieger (USA; 37,530)....

The Norwegian Gymnastics Federation has during the last 4 years developed a plan for a top sports project within men’s artistic gymnastics, with the goal of having at least one athlete in the all-around final in the Olympics 2016.

Several top gymnasts are heading to the USA to compete in the 7th annual Friendship Classic in Pottsville, Pennsylvania USA.
The Friendship Classic is hosted by the Pottsville Gymnastic Training Center- under the direction of Sandy Kost-Sterner and Barbara Kost-Lonergan. This club-run competition, has showcased over 21 different countries in the past and has grown to be the largest international invitational in the United States.

Octavian Belu announced yesterday that he was ready to return as coach to Romania's gymnastics team, nearly two months after he resigned amid legal troubles and media criticism of his methods.
At the gymnastics federation's annual meeting, Belu told members and the media that he was ready to take back his position.
'I feel the need to get involved in the situation of the Olympic team, which is not easy,' he told the press.
