With great sadness, the big international gymnastics family noticed, that Mr. Rolf BAUCH, Honorary Member of the German Gymnastics Federation 'Maerkischer TurnerBund', has passed away yesterday in Potsdam, Germany.
Mr. Bauch, born on October 23, 1927 in Neukirch, was a longtime international judge from 1958 on until Atlanta 1996, an he got in 1998 the Diploma of the FIG for his highest seniority as an international judge.

After his successes of the world cups in Paris-Bercy, Cottbus and Thessaloniki the Bulgarian Jordan JOWTSCHEW is the NEW NUMBER ONE now of the GYMmedia World Ranking List. Romanian gymnasts were the most successful athletes at the final day in Thessaloniki:
Like in Paris two weeks ago Marius Urzica won not only on pommel horse, but also the parallel bars final, and Oana Ban (Beam) und Floarea Leonida (floor) were the best in women's category.

Also at the first final day of this third World Cup of the season in Thessaloniki the favourites were the best. So Jordan Jovtchev from Bulgaria won the floor final, Marius Urzica was unbeaten again on pommel horse and the strong Greece Dimosthenis Tambakos was the best in his hometown on rings.
