Biles dominates USA Gymnastics 2023 Women's Championships

USA Gymnastics Queen Simone BILES - who else!

At the US Gymnastics Championships 2023 in San Jose, California, Simone BILES-OWENS already scored the highest points on three of the four apparatuses on the first day of the women's competition at the SAP Center, topped the all-around list with an unbelievable 59.300 points and thus exceeded her top result earlier this month at the US Classics in Chicago by 0.2 points.
To confirm this, she added another dream result at the weekend with unbelievable consistency after her 2nd routine with 59.150 points. With a strong result, but also a respectable gap of almost 4 points (!!), she is followed in second place by the current Vice World Champion Shilese JONES (56.750/57.800), who despite an increase in the 2nd routine "only" became US Vice Champion.
With a consistent performance in both free skating rounds, Leanne WONG narrowly edged out Skye Blakely, who was only 18 years old and third in the preliminaries, for fourth place and thus won the bronze medal.
Even if the international experts are not completely unfamiliar with the problem of comparing national high scores - but if a country has a performance reservoir of 20 (!) gymnasts with scores of over 50 to almost 60 points - then it is probably indeed a top world nation, which the US girls will certainly want to and will impressively prove at the upcoming World Championships in Antwerp at the end of September!
