Oldest German Olympian Hans Pfann celebrates his 100th Birthday

Today Hans PFANN from Bavaria in Germany celebrates his 100th birthday as the oldest German olympian!
Hans Pfann represented the team of Western Germany (FRG) at two editions of the Olympics: 1952 in Helsinki and 1956 in Melbourne, and came up just short of a medal, in fourth and fifth place respectively, in the team all-around both times. Individually, Hans Pfann's best performance was in the still rings at the 1952 edition, where he placed 18th.
1953, August 18, Hans married a fellow German Olympian, Lydia Zeitlhofer, and so they celebrated their 65th anniversary, their "diamond" wedding 2018 in the Bavarian hometown Neuötting. Lydia Pfann-Zeitlhofer died one year later, but Hans, meanwhile, is now the oldest living German Olympian.
