World Cup Paris: Injuries Stop Romanian and German Stars

(nbb) For Romanias top gymnast Oana Petrovschi the Worldcup series Paris-Cottbus-Thessaloniki was over before it began. The 17-year-old from Birlad injured her ankle while training for the World Cup at Paris-Bercy's 'Palais Omnisport' on friday. 'Thanks god that nothing is broken', she told gymworld, though she was really cross about her mishap: 'I failed to notice a training suit which was lying on the floor mat, landed on it and bent my ankle.'
For Petrovschi, who will have to wear a plaster cast for one week, a start in Cottbus is definatly impossible: 'I was told that I can start again with training in about three weeks.' ...

Dragulescu: Cottbus.....?

... also Germans are injured:
The German all-around champion Sven Kwiatkowski also injured in Paris on his left feet. So he submitted yesterday an operation in Berlin. German chief coach Andreas Hirsch said, that this means an absolutly break of 6 or 8 weeks, now. So the local hero will start in Cottbus coming weekend.
