11th JUNIOR Asian Championships 2010

The competition first debuted in 1971 in Tokyo (JPN) and has been hosted by the Philippines, Korea, China, India, Qatar and Syria ever since.
The last Junior Asian Championships took place in 2007 in Damascus, where the Iranian boys and Kazakhstani girls prevailed in the Artistic Gymnastics Team competitions.
2010 in Chiba, Japanese gymnasts swept both the boys’ and girls’ Artistic Gymnastics Team competitions, while the country’s Shogo Nonomura and Yoshio Taniguchi took the MAG and WAG All-around titles respectively.
China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia and Uzbekistan went home with medals from the Apparatus Final, whereby China was most successful with 3 Gold medals in each the girls’ and boys’ events.
Erdenebold Ganbat’s Silver on Vault will go down in history as the first medal ever for Mongolia at this championship!
