(nbb) For Romanias top gymnast Oana Petrovschi the Worldcup series Paris-Cottbus-Thessaloniki was over before it began. The 17-year-old from Birlad injured her ankle while training for the World Cup at Paris-Bercy's 'Palais Omnisport' on friday. 'Thanks god that nothing is broken', she told gymworld, though she was really cross about her mishap: 'I failed to notice a training suit which was lying on the floor mat, landed on it and bent my ankle.'
For Petrovschi, who will have to wear a plaster cast for one week, a start in Cottbus is definatly impossible: 'I was told that I can start again with training in about three weeks.' ...
